$19,341. That's my goal. It's also the exact height of Mount Kilimanjaro in feet, the tallest mountain in Africa.
The Problem:
Right here in Ohio, 1,391,290 people are food insecure, including 386,430 children. That's 1/5 kids who don't know where their next meal is coming from. Ohio has one of the highest rates of food insecurity in the entire country.
How is a child supposed to focus in class, compete on the field, or dare to dream about their future when they aren't sure where their next meal is coming from? Hunger doesn't just affect a child's body. It affects their ability to learn, compete, and believe in their own future.
The Mission:
Every dollar raised provides 2.5 meals through the MOFC. If we hit our $19,341 goal, we will provide 48,303 meals. That's enough to feed 44 people breakfast, lunch, and dinner for an entire year.
Why Kilimanjaro?
I've wanted to climb this mountain since I was a kid, and I believe deeply that we are capable of whatever we commit to. The things that scare us most are exactly where our growth lives.
Theodore Roosevelt said it best. It's not the critic who counts. It's the man in the arena. The one who shows up, faces the challenge, and risks failure anyway. That's where real growth and happiness live. Not on the sidelines, but in the pursuit of something bigger than yourself.
What I'm Asking:
Donate what you can. Every dollar feeds a child who deserves the stability to dream, to grow, and to chase something that gives their life purpose.
Thank you so much!
James
