There are many individuals and families who are, and will continue to be, deeply affected by the government shutdown, especially when it comes to putting food on the table. Federal workers aren’t being paid, and SNAP benefits may soon be paused for an unknown period of time.
This situation touches all of us in one way or another. Now, more than ever, we have an opportunity to come together as a community and support our neighbors near and far.
If you’re in a position where your pantry is full and your meals are secure, please take a moment to extend compassion to those who may be struggling, those who are hungry, or only a paycheck away from it. With the holidays approaching, even the smallest act of kindness can make a world of difference.
