With the economic hardship hitting this area due to the pandemic, NAWIC Columbus chapter is proud to use our community outreach during WIC Week to benefit Mid-Ohio Food Bank. It's important to show up for the most vulnerable in our community during this time. No one should go hungry. More children, seniors, and veterans are at risk of hunger than ever before.

The pandemic is bringing higher rates of unemployment and poverty and has also pushed more people into a struggle to buy the basics, including food. By the end of 2020, it was estimated 270 million people worldwide would be food insecure, according to estimates from The United Nation’s World Food Program. That’s an 82% increase compared to the level of food insecurity before the pandemic began!

For every $1 donated, Mid-Ohio Food Collective can provide up to 4.5 meals! NAWIC Columbus is setting a goal of providing 10,000 meals to our community. Please consider supporting our efforts!
